Lakshmi Hebbalkar: A Politician and a Member of the Karnataka Parliament

Lakshmi Hebbalkar

Lakshmi Hebbalkar is a lawmaker. She is a member of the Congress party. Lakshmi is presently serving as an assembly member of Karnataka since 2018.

Personal Life

Lakshmi has completed her education and done Post Graduation. Thereafter, she got married to Ravindra Hebbalkar. Currently, she lives in Hanuman Nagar, Belagavi with her family. The couple has a son named Mirnal Hebbalkar.

Political Career

In 2013, Lakshmi Hebbalkar was elected from Belgavi (Rural) Vidhan Sabha and thereafter from Belagavi Lok Sabha seat in the 2014 elections, but lost the election.

In 2015, she was appointed as the chief for the Karnataka State women’s Congress.

Afterward, in 2018, she was appointed to the Karnataka state assembly from Belgavi (Rural) Vidhan Sabha. She defeated Sanjay Patil of BJP and became an MLA.

Lakshmi Hebbalkar: A Feminist

Lakshmi is a feminist. She has worked a lot to increase the standard of living of the individuals in the Belgaum constituency.

However, she is presently performing her duties as MLA from Belgavi in Karnataka Legislative Assembly.

Lakshmi has a clash with Ramesh Jarkiholi and her advocacy by DK Shivakumar induced Jarkiholi to Lead Rebel MLAs. He took down the Kumaraswamy Government.

However, in 2019, she was investigated for two days by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in correlation with scrutiny into a money laundering case.
